Performance
There are two engine variations that are offered on the new Trailblazer for sale.
2.5 Duramax Diesel

A direct injection system means you have more power at higher fuel efficiency. These engines cause the turbocharger and the intercooler system to work in unison. This partnership regulates the temperature and density of air being cycled through the engine which results is improved combustion, horsepower and torque. This powerful engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission which is designed to accommodate everything from day-to-day diving to heavy-duty transportation use.
2.8 Duramax Diesel

As the previous engine, the 2.8 Duramax utilises direct injection. Chevrolet uses something called a Variable Geometry Turbo, along with an intercooler, to heighten torque output at low revolutions. There is a servo motor that is controlled by the ECM (engine control module) which improves fuel efficiency and performance. The Duramax engine in the new Chevrolet Trailblazer was also given a 6-speed Active Select automatic transmission to make your driving experience that much better. Consistent power and optimal fuel efficiency is achieved with the help of an overdrive gear of two gear ratios.
Safety in the Chevrolet Trailblazer
As you might have up to seven people in this vehicle, safety is very important. The Trailblazer has a large chassis and a high-strength body structure that gives excellent protection.
A double independent wishbone and gas shock absorber allows for comfort and traction.
You get double SRS airbags and safety three point safety belts along with a strong body that protects the cabin from side impacts. A collapsible steering wheel will reduce the force of impact to the chest with regards to a frontal collision. Extra support beams installed inside the door panels mean that the impact from a side collision is absorbed.

HDC (only in the automatic)
If you are driving down a steep slope, switch on the HDC (Hill descent control) system and this will cause the engine and the brakes to work in unison in order to automatically limit the speed you are moving at to the most appropriate level, making the descent safer
HSA (Hill Start Assist)
The HAS system is similar to the HDS system but this prevents the Chevrolet Trailblazer for sale from rolling away when trying to pull away on a gradient. This system holds the car stationary after the brake is released.
